Moses, “ASAA” ( the stick), and “ white hands”: the true meanings
God describes these events in 20:13 to 34. These verses are greatly misunderstood by many translators because they did not understand their metaphoric meanings but took them to mean literally.
In 20:12,13 God says,”Indeed I am your Lord and Master.....And I have chosen you( O Moses). So listen to what is revealed to you.”
Then from 20:17 to 34 God describes the events by saying,” And what is that in your right hand,O Moses. He said,’ It is my staff. I leanupon it and I bring down the leaves for my sheep, and I have therein other uses. He said,” Throw it down, O Moses. So he threw it down and thereupon it was a snake moving swiftly. He said,” Take it and do not fear. We will return it to its former condition. ( Metaphorically God is giving His instructions to Moses which will help him to do his work in life. But Moses found them dangerous because he thought people will be angry when they are informed about them. On which God says that he should not fear because it will look like a staff.). And put in your hand within your armpit, it will come out white without any disease ( SOOH= any thing bad). That is my another message. ( God means to say that these instructions will help you do good deeds with your hands. So the staff means God’s instructions revealed to him and white hand means good deeds done according to His instructions.). Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed ( committed sins by transgressing the bounds put by Him). He said,” My Lord,” Open up my breast ( to understand the instructions.( ASHRAHA ) And my task easy. And untie the knot in my tongue so that they understand what I say. And appoint for me a responsible person to help me. ( a minister) from my family. Haaroon ( Aaron)my brother.. Increase my strength through him.. And let him share my work. So that we may strive hard ( work hard) for you and remember You much.”
This proves that God gave Moses His instructions to work with them and do good deeds. Moses demanded a helper his brother in his task because it would be much easier to convince them. Hence the meanings “ staff and white hands” are used metaphorically.
