Understand the meanings of DEEN and ISLAM rightly with the Quranic and linguistic method

Mr. Muhammad Shaikh has wrongly translated Islam and Deen in 3:19,20. According to the Quranic method each Arabic word must be translated into another language with the same concept of the words and most suitable and fitting in the context. Secondly the logical relationship between all the words and thought in the context with coherence and organisation must be understood properly.

These verses in fact mean,” Indeed, the Deen ( The Instructions and guidance given in the Quran by God) in the sight of God is AL ISLAM ( The obedience of the guidance given by God in the Quran) ( A good dictionary of the Quran by GA Parwez should be consulted for meanings because it is the best of all. Then a suitable meaning according to the Arabic grammar should be selected. ( The root of Deen is DA WA NA meaning given by God or someone else because DAIN means a loan given by someone to any person and Deen means the guidance of God. In 12:40 we find,” You serve ( TAA’BADOONA, like a slave) besides Him, except names that you have named them and your forefathers for which Allah has not sent down any  authority ( SULTAAN) that the decision to give order about what is good and what is bad is only given by Allah. He has commanded that you serve no one except Allah (Him). That is the correct  Deen( guidance of God) ( QAYYIMO means standing upright), but,OST of the people do not know”. Here service like a slave proves that the guidance of God given in the Quran is the right way of life.”

“ And those who were given guidance from God ( KITAAB) differed from it except after knowledge had come to them, out of disobedience ( BAGHYAN= opposition, differing with, not following God)  among them who refuse to accept His instructions, God will is swift in taking account.”

In 3:20 God says,” Then if they argue ( dispute) with you, hen sayI have given my attention to God’s obedience and those who follow me ( have done the same). And say to those who were given the book of guidance by God and to those who were not given any guidance in the past ( ALOMMIYEEN= Those who have no book of God to read), do you accept to obey God ( A Aslam tum), then if you do, you are rightly guided but if you turn away, thenupon You is only to preach to them and Allah is seeing His servants. ( ALIBAAD= the slaves who obey).”

In 2:131, we find,”When his Lord and Master said to him,”Obey(Aslim) , He said I have  obeyed the Lord and Master of all creature we know. ( AL AALAMEEN).”

 ( ASLAMTO).”

Here also ASLAMTOis used for obeying the Lord and the Master of all the creatures we know. because they all obey God and work on His orders.
